The independent panel that reviews Premier League referees’ decisions has agreed that Declan Rice deserved to be sent off for Arsenal’s game against Brighton.

The Key Match Incidents Committee (KMI) reviews the decisions of referees in Premier League matches each week.

Rice was shown a yellow card when he tackled Joel Veltman. As he was preparing to take a free-kick in the 49th minute of the game. Earning him a second yellow card and a red card. It was the

first red card Rice had received in his career and the panel found the player’s actions to be “clear, deliberate. And had an impact on the game”, and the second yellow card was appropriate.

The panel wrote in its report: “Rice knew what he was doing. It was a soft kick but when the referee saw it, he had no choice.”

Arsenal were leading 1-0 and Brighton equalised to draw the game.

The KMI is an independent panel made up of three former players or coaches. One Premier League representative. ยูฟ่าเบท And one from the board of the Professional Game Match Officials.

They also considered that VAR was correct in its decision to challenge Trent Alexander-Arnold’s goal in Liverpool’s win over Manchester United. The

incident was rule to have been a goal. Before the decision was overturned. After they deemed Mohamed Salah offside in the build-up to the goal.

KMI has so far seen just one on-field decision wrong out of 23 significant incidents in the first three Premier League games.

KMI upheld all the on-field decisions except for the fact. That Will Hughes was spared a second yellow card in Crystal Palace’s draw with Chelsea.
